2011 Mustang GT/CS
Owner: DJ Waddell

The Story

After trading in my 2005 Roush Mustang, I first bought the GT/CS in 2015 with 15k miles on the odometer. During the first two years I spent all of my free time wrenching on the car, taking it to car shows, weekly FGCU Car Club meets, and maybe a little street racing. After graduating from FGCU in 2016 and starting a career in business, I realized I needed something a little more professional than one of the loudest cars on the road to drive to business meetings, so I made a tough decision to trade it in for a Mercedes E550 in 2017 (which I still have). Having freshly entered the business world, I couldn’t justify 2 car payments at the time. I regretted selling that car every day, talked about how much I missed it constantly. In 2019, after getting my footing in the business world I could finally justify a second car. I spent weeks looking at mustang for sale until it hit me, I wasn’t looking for A Mustang, I was looking for My Mustang. It took me another couple weeks to track the car down on Instagram, thankfully it had only made it a couple hour drive away, I messaged the owner, and after a short conversation I convinced him to sell the car back to me! Since getting the car back, I went right back to wrenching on it, modifying it, and fixing some things that the previous two owners had messed up. One thing I know for sure is I’ll never make the mistake of selling this car again.

Tail of The Dragon

We’ve made 2 trips to the Tail of The Dragon in the GT/CS and the NC/TN border area has become one of our favorite vacation destinations! The suspension modifications and the wide tires makes the GT?CS handle like a dream in the winding mountain roads, and listening to the exhaust echo off the hills will put a smile on anyone’s face.

Good taste runs in the family

It didn’t take long before the Mustang obsession infected the rest of the family. Both of my younger sisters also have 2011 Mustangs, the youngest having a black GT/CS to match mine. Before you ask, yes, her’s is also a 6-Speed!
